Bill Duffy

Bill graduated from Massachusetts College of Art many years ago with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, majoring in printmaking.  After a long series of odd-jobs ranging from elevator operator to prosthetic limb maker, Bill returned to school and earned a Master of Science degree in Marine Geology at the University of Maine.  Throughout the years, he’s almost always had a camera within arm’s reach and has made a practice of documenting the human condition – the people, the structures, the artifacts, and the detritus. His photographs often are records of the human scale places and icons that are disappearing in the face of the mega-developments and strip malls of modern America. And, he’s a sucker for dogs.

Bill lives and works in Hallowell. You can view more of his photographs on his weblog – www.billduffy.com
